Is it okay to feed my puppy adult dog food?

I asked my dad to go buy my one year old dog food, and he brought me adult food for dogs that are 7+ years old. He bought a 20lb bag, and I don’t want it to go to waste. I don’t know anyone with old dogs. Is it going to harm my baby?

Senior formula won’t have the same nutrients as puppy chow…watch his body condition VERY CLOSELY and if you see any changes at all you must switch…personally I wouldn’t use senior on a puppy even if it was “wasting” a bag…perhaps donate the bag to the shelter and get the right food for your pup. The only adult food that is acceptable for all stages of life is an All Life Stages dog food (it will say right one the front of the bag…not +7 years)
