Seat belt or hammock, which is better for my dog?

I have a two door dodge stratus. My dog can not see out of the windows in the backseat. He sits in the back and just cries until we get there. My dog is about 50 lbs. and come up to barely to my knees. He doesn’t seem to fit in any of the booster seats I have found because of how husky he is. I was thinking about a seat belt thing, or a hammock. There is no room in the back seat of my car for a create that would fit him. The ones I have bought I had to return after not fitting. The one that does fit in my back seat he cannot lay down in. I was wondering what are the pros and cons of both the seat belt and hammock. Thanks.

how would a seat belt help him see out the window? We have a seat belt for my dog and it did not provide any elevation and in fact is very cumbersome to use.
