Should a 17 year old, blind and deaf dog be put to sleep?

My neighbor has a 17 year old dog (blind and deaf). The dog can barely walk. I think the dog should be put to sleep. What do you think?

I love dogs. I have two papillons.

we’ve had basically the same problem. i think just about everyone who has pets has to make this decision at some time in their lives.
if the dog is eating, drinking, peeing and pooing and is not in too much pain there is no need to put them to sleep. however if the opposite is true you need to make the best decision for your furry friend. You’ll know when it’s time.
