As dogs are just as susceptible to the same mouth diseases as humans are, it is something that needs to be done not only for over all heath but to save considerable money. By brushing your dog’s teeth, once a month and using dog dental treats in between brushing you can reduce that cost to more than half and wait until they are several years old before their first professional cleaning.

How do I untangle cat fur?

I adopted a abandoned cat that showed up at my door. It has really long white fur….but it is getting large, tangled mats of fur on its hips. I have tried a cat comb and a dog brush..neither work. I can’t cut the mats out because its too big of an area. Does anyone know how to help Fluffy the Kitty?

they say for dog but work well with cat’s too… some stores sell ones just for cats. You can try sprinkling a little baby powder on the comb and the mats to help “glide” it through a little easier.

If this doesn’t work.. you might want to take her to your vet or a groomer and ask for a “lion cut” which is what I have to do with my cat… they shave everything except the face, legs and tail and then start grooming every day from then on.
