Dog is man’s best friend and it is a very true saying. They are a great stress buster and pal, a complete source of joy. In order to develop good habits in your dog there are certain obedience commands that you need to make him familiarize with. So let us see at the various techniques on dog obedience training and learn how to train a dog.

There are certain basic commands that your dog should follow like coming when called, walking on leash, house breaking etc,.

One of the most important aspects of dog obedience training program is that you should never force your dog to do something that he is not ready for. It can be very frustrating for the dog if you are over demanding and being very strict. Just respect your pet behavior and give him some time at initial stage.

Always make sure to reward your dog for his performances as this will boost up him to religiously follow your command and will develop a great bonding between the two of you. Do not punish or scold when your dog is under training as this develops a negative feeling in your dog. Instead you can penalize him by just ignoring him for a while or just a leash jerk.

Most of the masters have problem house training the dog and key to dog house training is to establish a routine for the dog. Until the dog has been house trained make sure it is not allowed to run around the house.

Dog crate training is basically to help the dog restrict from eliminating inside the house. It is confining him in a smaller area so that every time you release him he has the urge to urinate or defecate somewhere else as they do not have the tendency of soiling there resting area.

Understand your dog behavior and be kind to him. Just spend some time analyzing what he likes the most and you can develop a dog obedience training program around it. Make sure your dog is able to enjoy and finds it fun activity, as only then he will participate with his whole heart and perform exuberantly. dog house training please help!?

i have just got 2 dogs from the rescue centre, one is 1 and the other is 1 1/2, they are both male and apparantly when i got them they were house trained, but they keep going for a poo and pee in the night and anytime im out of the house, i dont no what to do or how to train them, i take them for two long walks a day and they have access to the garden when im home. please help!!!!!!!!

I would definitely crate train them, tis gives them a safe place to go and sleep but make sure the crate isn’t too big, because then they would designate and area for the bathroom and an area for sleeping. You can find a bunch of helpful websites on crate training, it’s pretty easy!

In the meantime though, pet stores sell these sheet that are like 2ft by 2 ft that you place on the floor that have some kind of chemical on them that causes the dog to want to only pee in that area. Just place in on the ground where you want them to pee and you should be great! I swear by these, they are awesome! Good luck! ^.^
