discharge pouring out of my navel?

I know this sounds gross but I have smelly blood tinged discharge pouring out of my navel I had to change out of one nightgown because it got all over it and it it smelled so bad I thought one of my dogs had an accident at first. then I looked down and saw the blood tinged discharge the first one had clumps pouring out of my navel the second time was a stinky brownish now it it still wet inside my navel with some discharge on a paper towel. My navel had some clumps come out yesterday and it has been very sensitive to the touch,do I need to go to the ER or will it start slowing now that it has gotten out what it needed to? My navel is still kind of tender to the touch and this is really gross…PLEASE HELP

if you have your belly button pierced, as hard as this is to hear, you MUST take it out. it is very clearly infected & your body is rejecting this piercing.

if this is the case, take it out & clean it twice a day with sea salt soak. then apply antibiotic ointment once a day. keep a large band aid over it to prevent agitation/more bacteria entering in. if it does not show signs of improvement, go to the doctor.

however, if this is just your belly button oozing, you need to see a doctor. if it smells this bad, you have a pretty nasty infection that home remedies may not help (but try them first, the same ones i mentioned aboove)
