Neapolitan Mastiff Dog Breed Information And facts
There are a few Mastiff breeds in the dog species. One of those breeds is called the Neapolitan Mastiff, which is also a working dog. They are large dogs growing to 165 pounds and at most 30 inches tall. They are a very muscular dog breed.
The Neapolitan Mastiff is usually black, chocolate or blue in color. They have a short hair that is coarse and dense. First care with any dog is very important. You will find that around other pets and even children with the proper training and socialization they can be quite safe.
Training is very important so that you establish a dominance over the Neapolitan Mastiff rather than the other way around. You will need to socialize them with other animals as puppies to avoid issues and make sure they under stand house rules. You will need to be firm with a consistency they will understand. Their need to be protective can be a problem during training and especially if you don’t train them at all.
You may seek a professional handler to help you learn the techniques you will need in order to train your Neapolitan Mastiff. Exercise is also very important to their care and training. You will find they need daily exercise, such as two walks in a day. They also need to have a large backyard to play in. Their great size demands a lot of space, even in a home. You will not want to keep them cooped up in an apartment, but rather have a large house with a backyard. While they are protective they can be happy spending time outdoors for a day while you are at work. Like most dogs they shouldn’t be left for extended periods of time or ever mistreated.

Using baking soda and not doggie toothpaste?
Ok, so I got this dog toothpaste. I try to buy organic, but it was either this, or two other commercial brand ones. But I didn’t look at the ingredients until after I got home..oh, my. It’s worse than human toothpaste. So I threw the stuff in the trash, and found that some people use baking soda, so I’m now doing that..just did it. Some say not to overdo it due to it causing bloat. How much is overdoing it? I have these rubber fingertip type brushes and put a little on one. Did both dogs’ teeth this way. How much or how little should I use and how often? I’m only doing this until the little bit of yellow I found on their teeth goes away. None of my other dogs have ever needed it and always had good dental checkups. My two I have now always have good dental checkups as well. Thanks!
I don’t know if this is going to be necessary to post, but I use organic toothpaste, soap, shampoos, foods, etc. as much as possible and know what the ingredients are.
well i use baking soda for my cats it work very well all you need is to dip a q-tip into water and then dip the q-tip into some baking soda and tap off the extra baking soda on the q-tip
works very well for plaque
