Find Out How to Correct Any of your Dog Training Techniques That are Just not Working

So many people go about dog training completely wrong and typically end up not succeeding at training their dog, which is why many of you really need to take the time out to sit down and do some different research about appropriate dog training and find out what works and what does not. You should not feel bad about not succeeding at properly training your dog though because so many people do this the incorrect way. With all of the many different sources out there that are available for all of us, teaching us how to properly train our dogs, you would think that more of us would be aware of how to do this exactly. This is not the case though, unfortunately, so for those of you who do not know what you are doing when it comes to training your dog, now is the time to find out. All it takes really is a great deal of patience and some time, if you truly do want to be successful at training your dog the right way.

Dogs can easily get confused and if you are only correcting them part of the time then they will just be totally lost as to what it is you are expecting from them. It is very important for anyone attempting to train their dog to remember that you have absolutely got to be persistent, no matter what! Your dog will finally catch on after some time and you will just be shocked at how well behaved they can actually be. Some dogs will take longer to train than other dogs, so, if you do have one of those dogs that is just hard headed then it is important to constantly reinforce everything, without being too aggressive or loud with them and never forget to reward them whenever they do what you have asked of them. It is just like with small children really, you have got to be persistent and rewarding them goes a long way and before long you will notice an enormous difference in their behavior. Your dog will love you and obey you, if you really work with them and by putting forth that effort and showing them how much you care every single time they do something good, you will end up with a very well behaved and surprisingly obedient pet.

Keep in mind that whenever you are using your dog training techniques on your pet that it is so important for their to not be many other noises going on when this is occurring because this would normally cause them to get distracted easily, which will lead you to becoming very frustrated and impatient. These helpful tips can really create the right setting for the best and most efficient kind of dog training, if you apply them every chance that you get and always remind them just how very loved they are.

Dog training techniques. Just the basics.?

Okay I got sit now i need stay, and come, and no or leave it. What are some good techniques to train these things?

First teaching the come:

1. Prepare a variety of tasty treats, but make sure you don’t overdue you don’t want your dog to get diarrhea.

2. Attach a long leash (usually called a tracking lead) to your dog’s collar.

3. Keep one end of it in your hand, while slowly walking away.

4. When you are pretty far away kneel down to the dogs level and open your arms wide, as if asking for a hug.

5. Call him to you with a cheery voice: “(rover), come!”

6. If the dog doesn’t respond, give the line a ‘quick tug’: short and sharp.

Please note: you are not to use the leash drag him towards you. It’s a quick physical reminder that he needs to listen to you.

7. As soon as your dog starts walking towards you, praise him in a calm, happy tone of voice: “Goooood boy, what a goooood boy!” Praise him when he starts to come to you,

8. As soon as he gets to you, give him a treat, or if your dog has a favorite toy give him that instead.

The “Drop it” command.

1. Hold a treat in one hand, and give him a favorite toy or a treat with the other.

2. Let him really get a good taste then hold a small piece of treat-food near his nose and say “Drop it”.

3. When he drops it give him the other treat immediately and say “Good Boy!”

Practice both exercises about 5 to ten times per day. But try to end on a high note: stop each exercise while when they do it right. Be sure to give plenty of praise at the end of the training.
