Halloween Costumes Little Dogs Can Enjoy

It can be difficult to find a costume your pet will feel comfortable in. The head pieces for some of these Dog Halloween costumes will usually only stay on dogs that enjoy wearing them. If you do not want to spend the whole night putting the devil horns back on your pets head every time he shakes then you should probably not buy them. Another thing to keep in mind is safety. You should buy a costume that will be visible to cars and that will allow your dog to move with little difficulty.

You should make sure to get the measurements of your dog before going shopping. Make sure that the costume does not have any small pieces your dog could swallow or choke on. We want our dogs to have fun, not to hurt themselves.

Do not get overwhelmed when shopping for a costume. There can be hundreds if not thousands to choose from. I know it is tempting to just buy the most adorable costume there but you have to remember that your dog will be wearing it, not you. The adorable costume may not follow the safety rules from above.

Consider your pets personality when picking a dog Halloween costume. If they tend to be a demon at times then by all means buy a devil costume. If your pet is a bit spoiled then you may want to consider a princess or prince costume. The clown costumes are great for dogs who are a bit silly at times.

These days everyone is feeling the pinch of the economy. If you do not have money in your budget for a Halloween costume for your little dog then by all means make one. While the costumes you see in the shops are adorable, a hand made costume can be just as cute. When making your pet’s costume make sure to keep the safety factors in mind.

If you know ahead of time that you will be dressing your little dog up for Halloween, it might be a good idea to get him or her used to wearing clothes if they are not already. For a little while everyday you can put them in an outfit and they will usually get use to it fairly quickly.

You may not have had a chance to get your dog used to clothes, if that is the case do not worry you still may have time. If you buy your pet’s costume a few days before Halloween you can put them in it everyday until it is time to go trick or treating.

Air travel and little dogs, how do i make it the most comfortable?

I will be bringing my little Norwich Terrier on a trip to Denmark. We will take off from San Francisco to New York and then from New York to Denmark.
The total travel time is 15 hrs, 5 and 8 hours plus some overlay time.

He will be sitting with us in the cabin in a special carrier. What can i do to make the flight time the most comfortable for him?

Ask your vet for a tranquilizer. This is not an unusual request and he’ll just give you however many is needed for the trip. Just pop it in a piece of hot dog or cheese and give it to him about a half hour before boarding. He’ll not be “knocked out,” just pleasantly sleepy and calm. It will be much less traumatic for him.
