I’m generally a very selfish person and don’t often branch out to help other people. When I do help it’s in my own unique way and not often a way that is typically done. For instance, I prefer to teach something how to do a task themselves instead of doing it for them. I believe in the “teach a man to fish” theory.
Today I helped a friend get her finances in order. It was wonderful to know that I was getting her out of a hole and starting her on a journey toward financial peace. Money management is one of my skills and being able to guide others is a good way for me to give something back to the world. It’s not the most noble of ventures I suppose, but my intentions truly are good. I want others to do well. I want them to enjoy the peace of having a little cushion in their bank accounts.
Regardless of your particular skills you should look for ways to share them with others. It’s not just a matter of volunteering, it’s making your abilities and efforts continue on into the future. Spending an hour of time in a food kitchen is very helpful. Spending an hour teaching someone how to read, or learn a new skill or how to use a tool will allow that effort you put in to multiply each time they repeat it. If you continue the lessons it only strengthens their abilities and will someday allow them to pass on those talents to even more people.
Teachers are wonderful people who allow our children and interested adults to expand their minds and talents. They often don’t get enough credit. I’ve never actually been a good teacher myself. I don’t think I have the patience for it, in general. But I learned that when I’m really passionate about the topic, I have loads of patience and can’t wait for the next teaching session. I only wait for willing students. If you have a passion consider sharing it with others and keeping that passionate ball rolling.
The author loves writing about lots of topics. Some of her favorites include household makeover topics such as the cheap bathroom faucet and the discount bathroom vanity. She also loves finding a good deal.
Can you recommend a good dog toy?
Does anybody have any good suggestions on fun or interactive dog toys for dogs at all please?
i’ve just got them a babble ball and they like that but I want to know what others are good and keep the dogs entertained.
Thanks very much everyone. Will definetely be trying the Kong!
I must be boring! My dogs love chasing a stick, or a tennis ball. They never tire of fetch!
Plus, cheap and portable!
